The Distributed acoustic wave vibration sensing system DAS is a pure phase demodulation scheme based on coherent Rayleigh scattering. It takes advantage of the characteristic that optical fibers are sensitive to sound (vibration). When external vibration acts on the sensing optical fiber, due to the elastic-optical effect, the refractive index and length of the optical fiber will undergo slight changes, thereby causing the light intensity and phase of the signal transmitted within the optical fiber to change simultaneously.
The DAS system of the DAS-UL10 model only requires a single-mode optical fiber core, with a maximum measurement distance of up to 20 kilometers. The positioning accuracy can be set from 0.4m to 25m (depending on the engineering application scenario), and it can achieve simultaneous detection and positioning of multiple events. It can restore the sound wave vibration signal at any meter position of the optical fiber, with a frequency accuracy of ±1HZ and a maximum measurement frequency of 50KHZ. By turning the optical fiber into an array of "optical fiber microphone vibration sensors", each meter of "optical fiber microphone vibration sensor" can record the sound wave vibration in real time and demodulate and restore the sound. Due to its powerful positioning and acoustic wave vibration restoration functions, it can be linked with video cameras. Video cameras are equivalent to a person's "eyes", while the DS-UL10 optical fiber acoustic wave vibration sensing system is equivalent to a person's "ears". When both "eyes" and "ears" are used simultaneously, the accuracy is greatly increased, and security judgment becomes more precise.

The DAS host is the core signal acquisition and processing unit of the DAS-UL10 system, which can realize the acquisition, processing, analysis and storage of vibration signals on optical fibers. The DAS host is powered by DC24V and has an average power consumption of 25W. The host contains a high-performance AI artificial intelligence processor, which can provide computing power support of 6 TFLOPS(one trillion floating-point operations per second). With the advantage of high-speed weak signal processing technology, it can achieve a scanning frequency of over 50kHz and measure sound vibration signals with a maximum frequency of up to 25kHz. Its technical indicators have reached the leading level in the industry.

The sensing optical cable connected to this equipment selects communication single-mode optical fiber, which is flexibly laid and not restricted by terrain and harsh environments (high or low temperature environments, humidity, dust, toxic gases, corrosive gases, flammable and explosive, strong electromagnetic interference, etc.). The optical fiber itself is passive and does not require power supply. It can adapt to various harsh environments with complex and irregular terrains, and no power supply or network is required on site.
